The DSS community consists of farmers, explorers, tourists, and miners. Each member of the community has a different way of using data and creating queries.
Understanding that there are different members of the DSS community is the key to being able to resolve the many contradictions. Data base design that is right for the farmer will not be right for the explorer. Query tools that are right for the explorer will not be right for the tourist. The level of detail and the type of data that is right for the tourist will not be right for the miner. Methodologies for doing analyses that are right for the miner will not be right for the farmer, and so forth.
